A fun outing

Yesterday we celebrated my dear friend Lori's birthday...It was in March but we never got around to it! Mida, Rosemary, Lori and I went to Mastropietro Winery, very close to my house. It is a beautiful place. We had a blast and it was a little chilly but thank God for the fire pits!My friend Rosemary brought baked garlic (yummy!), brie and hot wings and I made some wraps. We also had some great Sunset wine and of course, a little cake!
I made Lori one of my flower pincushions.
We had a wonderful time!

The last beauties of summer

Fall is certainly here in Ohio...Beautiful as it is I dread the fact that winter will be here next...I am not fond of snow as many of you know...
I wanted to share with you some of the bounty...I did not do a lot of gardening this year because I was so busy getting things ready for my daughter's wedding...Still, we had some endless grape and cherry tomatoes and a huge tomato that my friend Dee who gave us the plants thought was a Brandywine but after closer inspection it is a 'Delicious' type tomato that was incredible!
Thanks Dee!
I hope you enjoy the pictures....
Also, my night blooming cereus bloomed and I wanted to share it with those who haven't seen the flowers yet......

I am also sharing some beautiful pictures of one of the prides of our area which is Millcreek Park.....what beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Dad entered a felted wool wall hanging and won 1st place. I entered a wall hanging designed by Sue Spargo and won 1st place also!
There were many beautiful quilts there including my friend Lori's beautifully embroidered quilt that won Best of show....Check out the pictures!

We visited some lovely horses, the one you see in the pictures was fond of my purse and wouldn't stop licking it!
